Widow since 2014 and father died in 2019

Qualified Health and Life Coach @ The Health Coach Institute

I trained as a Health and Life Coach in 2018.

Health and Life Coaching supported me to get back on my feet after being widowed and start living again. It was an invaluable part of my healing and figuring out my life when I was totally lost. I have supported many people with coaching, not all who have been bereaved. It is a process that has to be worked through, but the results are powerful and life changing.

Advanced Recovery Specialist with Grief Recovery UK

I trained in 2020 after my father had died. The programme supported me to find a deeper healing and understand where I had unresolved grief in my life that was impacting me negatively and be able to work through this. I have incorporated this training into my coaching to create a deeper healing for my clients.

Breath Coach with Yoga Teachers College

In grief our body experiences trauma, physically and mentally. Becoming a trained breath coach means I can support my clients to regulate their nervous system and find calm and balance in their mind and body. This not only helps them function better but is also an easy way to support their body heal in their grief.

Grief Educator with David Kessler Grief Educator Programme

As one of the leading grief experts, David Kessler’s Grief Educator Programme has given me more tools to be able to confidently guide people through the worst days of their grief, find peace in their grief, run grief groups, share tools to help grievers find resilience, healing and hope.

Grief Movement Training with Paul Denniston

The body holds on to trauma and pain. This training means I can work with my clients using light, gentle, seated movements, breath and sound to release pain and help them connect to their self on a deeper level which supports healing in grief.

Trained Volunteer with Cruse Bereavement Services

Working with Cruse Bereavement services means I regularly support bereaved people over the phone, and have regular supervision and training throughout the year. Some of the areas I have been trained in are bereavement through sudden death, illness, suicide, child loss and loss of identity. I also have training in safe guarding and am DBS checked.

Volunteer at Widowed and Young

As a member with WAY I have recognised how important it is to have people around you who ‘get it’. I now also support WAY voluntarily with events in Kent and their Kent Facebook community.
